Here is a real black bass and a true successor to Matti Salminen. With his impressive voice Sebastian Pilgrim made a highly acclaimed debut as Hagen at the Nationaltheater Mannheim in 2016. In season 2016-17, he sang his first Hunding at the Wagner Days at Müpa Budapest under the baton of M° Adam Fischer. In the season 2017-18, he made his debuts as Rocco in a new production of ‘Fidelio’ in Mannheim and as König Karl in ‘Fierrabras’ at Teatro alla Scala. Up from the season 2018/19, he will be a member of the Oper Leipzig, where he will be singing amongst others Grande Inquisitore (Don Carlo) Landgraf (Tannhäuser), Eremit (Freischütz), Kezal (Die verkaufte Braut), Fasolt and Hagen.
