Mlada Khudoley

"Mlada Khudoley’s eccentric dramatization of Turandot was presented wholeheartedly on stage, all the more convincing because her vulnerability did not disappear behind the usual costume, but kept its human persona.”

The beautiful Russian soprano is especially known for her work with Valery Gergiev. Born and raised in Moscow, she now is living in the US. She is famous for her interpretations of roles such as Norma, Turandot, Salome, Aida, Lady Macbeth (Macbeth), Katerina Ismailowa (Lady Macbeth von Mzensk), Abigaille and Cassandra (Les Troyens). The parts of Sieglinde, Elisabeth, Senta, Gutrune, Kaiserin and Ariadne complete her German repertoire. For her interpretation of Turandot at Bregenz Festival in 2015, she received excellent reviews and returned there in 2016. In 2017-18, she was guesting as Abigaille in Leipzig and as Fevronia (Invisible citi of Kitej) in St. Petersburg. Under the baton of Valery Gergiev, she will make her debut as Brünnhilde in all three parts of ‘Der Ring des Nibelungen’, starting with Götterdämmerung in Paris in September 2018.
