Mlada Khudoley is especially known for her work with Valery Gergiev. Born and raised in Moscow, she now lives permanently in the US. She  is singing the important title roles of the German and Italian repertoire, such as NormaTurandotManon LescautAidaAriadne and Salome. Her repertoire also ranges from Lady Macbeth (Macbeth), Abigaille (Nabucco) and Leonora (Il Trovatore) over Lisa (Pique-Dame) and Cassandre (Les Troyens) to SieglindeGutruneSenta and Elisabeth.

The celebrated soprano appeared with the Mariinsky Theatre at the Metropolitan Opera of New York, at Edinburgh Festival, at Dutch National Opera and at Teatro Regio di Torino and guested at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Oper Stuttgart, at Polish National Opera, at Royal Danish Opera and with Tampere Philharmonic in Finland. She performed Sieglinde with Bryn Terfel under the baton of Valery Gergiev at the Wales Millennium Center, and made her debut as Kaiserin (Die Frau ohne Schatten) with the same conductor at the Mariinsky Theatre. For her interpretation of Turandot at Bregenz Festival in 2015 she received excellent reviews and returned there for the revival of this role in 2016. In the same year, she sang Norma at Florida Grand Opera. Further engagements in 2016-17 led her as Abigaille to Oper Leipzig, as Turandot to Oper Köln and as Salome back to Mariinsky Theatre. In 2018-19, she will sing Turandot at the Opera Hong Kong and will return to Leipzig as Abigaille and Turandot.
