Mlada Khudoley

Mlada Khudoley is especially known for her work with Valery Gergiev. Born and raised in Moscow, she now lives permanently in the US. She performs important title roles of the German and Italian repertoire, like NormaTurandotManon LescautAidaAriadne and Salome. Her repertoire also ranges from Leonora (Il Trovatore), Lady Macbeth (Macbeth), Abigaille (Nabucco) over Lisa (Pique-Dame) and Cassandra (Les Troyens) to SieglindeGutruneSenta and Elisabeth.

The celebrated soprano appeared with the Mariinsky Theatre at the Metropolitan Opera of New York, at Edinburgh Festival, at Dutch National Opera and at Teatro Regio di Torino and guested at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Oper Stuttgart, at Polish National Opera, at Royal Danish Opera and with Tampere Philharmonic in Finland. She performed Sieglinde with Bryn Terfel under the baton of Valery Gergiev at the Wales Millennium Center, and made her debut as Kaiserin (Die Frau ohne Schatten) with the same conductor at the Mariinsky Theatre. For her interpretation of Turandot at the Bregenz Festival in 2015 she received excellent reviews and returned there for the revival of this role in 2016. In the same year, she sang Norma at Florida Grand Opera. 

Engagements in season 2016/17 lead her as Abigaille to the Oper Leipzig, as Turandot to the Oper Köln and as Salome back to Mariinsky Theatre.
