Elisabeth Teige

"The wonderfully confident soprano voice of Elisabeth Teige (the career of this young Norwegian soprano must be kept in mind and ear) resonates radiantly and brightly in her arias Einsam in trüben Tagen and Euch Lüften, the duet with Ortrud: Es gibt ein Glück, das ohne Reu, and the bridal scene with Lohengrin with touching intensity, an intensity she also displays in her acting."

Not only with her touching interpretation of Elsa, but also as Senta, the young Norwegian soprano could show her beautiful timbre, her powerful voice and her compelling stage presence. After her highly acclaimed debut as Leonore at Den Norske Opera, further engagements in this role are at Nationaltheater Mannheim in December 2017 and at Semperoper Dresden in the reproduction of ‘Fidelio’ under the baton of Adam Fischer in May 2018. In 2017, she made her debut as Cio-Cio-San at the festival Opera på Skäret in Kopparberg/Sweden. In season 2017/18, she is singing Senta at Theater Lübeck and at Bergen National Opera. We are looking forward to her debuts as Elisabeth (Tannhäuser), Irene (Rienzi), Tosca, Turandot and with all three parts of Brünnhilde in Loriot’s ‘Ring in 1 Evening’ in Mannheim.
