The Swedish Tenor Johan Weigel started his career in Weimar and Stuttgart, where he sung besides Tamino, Idamante (Idomeneo), Cassio (Otello), David (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg), Narraboth and Pollione (Norma). Further guest engagements led him to the Miskolc Sommerfestival, where he sang Lenski (Eugen Onegin), as Gennaro (Lucrezia Borgia) to Gießen and as Matteo (Arabella) to Gothenburg and Zurich. He debuted in ‘Il prigionero’ and as Arbace in ‘Idomeneo’ at the Opéra National de Paris. He sang Narraboth (Salome) in Heidelberg and Düsseldorf as well as Erik (Flying Dutchman) in Wuppertal. Furthermore, he debuted Max (Freischütz), Steva (Jenufa) and Tichon (Katja Kabanova) in Aachen. At Immling festival 2018, he also sang which he received excellent reviews for.
