Andreas Hörl

Andreas Hörl made his first important debuts early in his career, for example as Baron Ochs at the Stadttheater Bremerhaven in 2004 and as Landgraf at the Stadttheater Minden in 2005. The talented student of Kurt Moll has a gorgeous timbre and a big repertoire.  

He joined the ensembles of the Opernhaus Zurich and of the Wiener Staatsoper before he started working freelance around the world. In 2015, the German bass made his debut at the Bayreuth Festival as Fafner and TiturelHis broad repertoire includes furthermore Sarastro, Osmin, Komtur, Baron Ochs, Basilio, Colline, Gremin, Titurel, König Heinrich, König Marke, Kaspar/Eremit, Ramfis/Il Re, Warlaam and Priest (Moses and Aron)Guest engagements lead him to the Bayerische Staatsoper, Wiener Staatsoper and Volksoper Wien, the Oper Frankfurt, the Komische Oper and Staatsoper Berlin, the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Teatro Real Madrid, the Teatro alla Scala Milano as well as to Zurich, Lissabon, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, Chemnitz, Dortmund, to the Beethoven Festival Warsaw, the Salzburger Festspiele and the Richard-Wagner-Festival in Wels.

In season 2015-16 Andreas Hörl made his successful debuts as 1. Handwerksbursche in Wozzeck at the Teatro alla Scala Milano and as Hunding at the Hungarian State Opera Budapest. In December 2016 he sang König Marke under the baton of M° Daniele Gatti at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. In 2018, he could be heard as Fafner and Hunding in 'Der Ring des Nibelungen' with Odense Symphoniorkester and returned to Bayreuth as Hans Schwarz in 'die Meistersinger von Nürnberg'. In September 2018, his debut as Hagen in the new production of 'Götterdämmerung' at the Stadttheater Minden in cooperation with Richard Wagner Association Minden and the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie was following - with excellent reviews. In 2019, he sang the role of Baron Ochs in 'Der Rosenkavalier' at the Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater and Hagen in 'Der Ring an 1 Abend' at the Staatstheater Mainz. He also returns to Bayreuth as Hans SchwarzIn 2019, he also returned to the Bayreuth Festival where he will be performing again in 2020.
